The Manaslu Circuit Trek 7 Days is the shortest way to complete the full Manaslu loop in Nepal, crossing Larkya La Pass (5,106m) and returning to Kathmandu in one week and yes, on a budget. It's a route for trekkers who have high-altitude experience, strong legs, and no room in their schedule for rest days. You'll walk 7 to 9 hours a day for 5 continuous days, through the Budhi Gandaki valley, past Tibetan-influenced villages above 3,000m, and over one of the major Himalayan passes on the circuit. The short Manaslu Circuit Trek cost depends on group size, season, and inclusions, but Madcap Adventure packages for 2026/2027 start from USD 845.

Seven days. One of the most demanding high passes in Nepal. A restricted-area route that sees a fraction of the traffic on the Annapurna Circuit.

Trip Overview

The 7-day Manaslu Circuit Trek is built for trekkers with limited time and solid mountain experience. It is also a budget-friendly restricted-area trek in Nepal with a licensed guide, all permits, and accommodation included. You'll cover ground that most itineraries spread across 11 to 14 days, moving fast through the Budhi Gandaki valley, past stone villages above 3,000m, and up to Larkya La Pass at 5,106m before descending to the Annapurna side.

This is the shortest way to complete the full Manaslu Circuit in Nepal. The route runs from Jagat north through Bihi Phedi, Lho, Sama Gaun, and Dharmasala ( also spelled as Dharamsala) before the pass crossing on Day 5 and a long descent to Bhimthang (also spelled as Bimthang). Day 6 brings you down to Dharapani. Day 7 is the drive back to Kathmandu.

It's a hard week. The altitude is real, the pace is unforgiving, and there's no buffer day if your body needs more time at Sama Gaun. But for trekkers who know what they're signing up for, seven days is enough to do this route properly.

It's not for everyone. If you want a slower pace with acclimatisation days built in, the 12-day or 14-day Manaslu Circuit gives you the same route with room to breathe.

Who This 7 Day Manaslu Circuit Trek Suits, and Who Should Skip It

This Manaslu trek suits you if:

  • You've previously trekked above 4,000m in Nepal. Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, or Langtang are good baselines
  • You can walk 7 to 9 hours a day on steep, rugged terrain without a rest day between sessions
  • You're between 15 and 60 years old and in strong cardiovascular health
  • You have one week in Nepal and want to complete a full high-pass circuit rather than a valley route
  • You're on a tight budget and are comfortable with basic tea house conditions above 3,000m and know what to expect
  • You enjoy longer road journeys than flights. The trek starts and ends with a road journey from Kathmandu. No flight bookings, no airport transfers, no weather delays on the Lukla route.

Skip this trek if:

  • You haven't trekked above 3,500m before; the Langtang Valley Trek (7 days) or Annapurna Base Camp Trek (10 days) are better starting points
  • You need a rest day to acclimatise. This itinerary has none, in which case you can choose our 14-day Manaslu Circuit trek, which has enough rest days
  • You have a history of altitude sickness, heart or lung conditions, or are not currently in regular training. Consider the Kathmandu Valley cultural tour covering Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath, and the Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Patan as a three to five day alternative.
  • You want a cultural immersion trek with time to explore villages; the Manaslu Tsum Valley trek gives you that

Trek Highlights

  • Larkya La Pass (5,106m): A high, exposed crossing with a direct sight line to Mount Manaslu (8,163m), the world's eighth-highest peak, plus Cheo Himal and Himalchuli to the north. The summit plateau is wide and cold. Reach it before 9 am.
  • Ribung Monastery, Lho (3,180m): One of the oldest monasteries in the Manaslu region. The courtyard faces directly at Manaslu on a clear morning. Most trekkers pass through without stopping; it's worth 20 minutes if you arrive before noon.
  • Sama Gaun (3,530m): The largest village on the upper circuit, with a daily life that hasn't changed much: yak herders, stone-walled fields, and a monastery on the north side. Manaslu Base Camp is a half-day side trip from here. Not possible on the 7-day itinerary.
  • Dharmasala (4,460m) at dusk: On a clear evening, the glacier above the village and the route to the pass are both visible. It's the only night on this trek where you go to bed looking directly at what tomorrow will ask of you.
  • Bhimthang meadow (3,590m): After the pass, the trail drops into a wide alpine meadow. Larkya Himal and Manaslu are behind you. The relief after crossing is real.
  • Budhi Gandaki gorge (lower section): In the first two days, the trail cuts through a narrow river gorge with suspension bridges, subtropical forest, and waterfalls. It's an entirely different landscape from the high section.
  • Low foot traffic year-round: Even in October, the number of trekkers on the Manaslu Circuit is a fraction of what you'd find on Everest or Annapurna. Checkpoint queues don't exist here.

Why Choose Madcap Adventure for Manaslu Circuit Trek?

  • Operating since 2004. Over 20 years running treks in the Manaslu, Langtang, and Annapurna regions. This is not a recently assembled package.
  • All guides are Nepal Government licensed. Every guide working with Madcap Adventure holds a current certification. In the Manaslu restricted area, this is a legal requirement, and we've never sent a trekker out with an uncertified guide.
  • Serious about the environment. We minimise single-use plastic, encourage reusable bottles, and only work with tea houses that handle waste responsibly.
  • Free Nepal SIM card on arrival. Pre-loaded with data so you can use maps, contact home, and stay connected until the signal drops above Namrung.
  • Fully registered. Listed with the Nepal Tourism Board and all relevant trekking bodies.
  • Locked-in pricing guarantee. Once your deposit is paid, your price doesn't change. No mid-season adjustments, no fuel surcharges, no surprises.
  • 24/7 Kathmandu office support throughout every active trek. If something changes on the trail- weather, health, permit issues- there's a team in Kathmandu available at any hour.
  • 2027 pre-booking offer. Lock in 2026 pricing for any 2027 departure by booking before December 31, 2026. A 20% deposit confirms your dates.
  • Real reviews, unfiltered. We don't offer discounts for five stars, and we don't remove critical feedback. Read them before you decide.

Route Overview

The Short Manaslu Circuit Trek covers the upper section of the full circuit, from Jagat (1,340m) north along the Budhi Gandaki River, over Larkya La Pass (5,106m), and out through Bhimthang to Dharapani (1,860m) across five walking days.

The drive from Kathmandu to Jagat takes 8–9 hours. From Jagat, the trail enters the Manaslu Conservation Area and follows the river north. The lower section is green and wide, with stone-paved paths through terraced farmland. By Namrung (2,630m) on Day 3, the terrain changes: drier air, open valley walls, and the first clear sightlines to Manaslu above the ridge.

Lho (3,180m) and Sama Gaun (3,530m) are the two main villages before the pass approach. Both sit within Chumnubri Rural Municipality, Gorkha District. The altitude gain from here is fast. You're gaining more than the 300–500m daily guideline above 3,000m, which is why prior high-altitude experience is not optional on this route.

Dharmasala (4,460m), known locally as Larkya Phedi, is the last tea house. Walls are thin, nights drop well below freezing, and there's no reliable charging. Sleep by 8 pm. You leave at 3 am.

The ascent to Larkya La gains approximately 650m over glacial moraine and loose rock, with ice likely outside October to November and March to May. The descent drops approximately 1,500m to Bhimthang.

The final walking day descends through rhododendron forest, passing Tilje before reaching Dharapani (1,860m), where the Manaslu Trail meets the Annapurna Circuit route and the road back to Kathmandu begins.

Total trekking distance across five walking days is approximately ~90–94km.

Experienced trekker on a budget? This 7-day Manaslu Circuit Trek is just perfect for you

Well, this Manaslu Circuit trek, which is in the remote corner of Nepal, might not be for everyone. It’s for someone who has already been on a proper Himalayan trail, knows what high altitude feels like, and is not expecting a comforting hotel at the end of a long pass day. If that is you, welcome; you are in the right place.

Budget does not mean cutting corners here. Not with Madcap Adventure. You still get a full AP meal plan, i.e., breakfast, lunch, and dinner sorted at every tea house along the route. You get a private jeep from Kathmandu to Machha Khola. All four permits, including the Manaslu Restricted Area Permit, MCAP, ACAP, and Chumnubri Rural Municipality Permit, are handled before you even pack your bag. And your guide is government-licensed and knows this route well. The rooms are simple, the bathrooms above 3,500m are shared, and the wood-stove dining room will be your favourite place on earth by day four. Simple isn't the same as cheap.

We also know that one itinerary does not fit every trekker. So beyond the standard package, we offer luxury Manaslu Circuit options and extended routes through Tsum Valley and Serang Gumba. Everything can be shaped around your budget, your pace, and what matters most to you on the trail.

And if the short Manaslu Circuit feels too remote right now, that's a fair call. Our Annapurna treks exist for exactly that reason. Same stunning Himalayas, better infrastructure, easier logistics, and trails that have been welcoming trekkers for good reason. The 10-day Annapurna Base Camp Trek in particular is a comfortable, practical, and deeply rewarding alternative that we recommend without hesitation. Tell us where you are at, and we will find the right fit. That is what we have always done.

What is the cost of 7 days Manaslu Circuit Trekking in Nepal 2026/2027?

A 7-day Manaslu Circuit Trek with Madcap Adventure runs USD 845 to USD 1,170 per person. What you pay within that range depends on the choices you make before you reach the trailhead. Here is what moves the number.

Group vs. private: Shared departures split the fixed costs across the group. A private package means those costs sit entirely with you. For solo trekkers, a group departure makes sense on both counts.

Porter hire: Adds USD 20 per day per porter, covering up to two trekkers. Over seven days, that's USD 140. Your guide carries personal gear only. If you're going above 8 to 10kg, factor this in from the start.

Meals: The package covers all meals on the trek. Some operators exclude meals from their base price. In a restricted area with limited food options, that difference adds up over seven days.

Room type: Standard rooms are twin-share with shared bathrooms above 3,500m. Attached bathroom rooms exist in lower sections and cost more. They fill fast in October and November. Flag it when you book.

Season: Peak season runs October through November. Tea house rates run slightly higher and the Manaslu Restricted Area Permit (MRAP) costs more: USD 100 per person for the first seven days versus USD 75 from December through August.

Booking timing: Madcap Adventure's early bird discount structure:

  • Book 6 or more months in advance: up to 15% off standard package price
  • Book 3 to 6 months in advance: up to 10% off
  • Groups of 4 or more: additional group discount on top of any early bird rate; contact Madcap for exact figures
  • 2027 pre-booking offer: lock in 2026 pricing for any 2027 departure by booking before December 31, 2026, with a 20% deposit

Day 1

Drive from Kathmandu to Jagat

You leave Kathmandu early. The first stretch follows the Prithvi Highway along the Trishuli River to Malekhu, then northwest through Dhading Besi toward Arughat. After Arughat, the road becomes rough, unpaved, narrow, and dusty in the dry season or muddy after rain. A jeep handles this section better than a bus and is worth the extra cost.

The final stretch follows the Budhi Gandaki River into Jagat, where your Restricted Area Permit is checked at the army post. Jagat (1,340m) is a small but well-set-up checkpoint village with several tea houses. The kitchen closes early. Eat as soon as you arrive and get a good night's rest. Tomorrow is your first full day on the trail.

The last ATM before the trail is in Arughat Bazar. Carry enough Nepali rupees from Kathmandu to cover 6 days of trail expenses: hot drinks, hot showers (charged separately), charging fees, and tips.

Max Altitude: 1,340m (4,396ft)
Altitude Loss: 60m
Duration: 8-10 ours
Distance: Approx. 160km
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Teahouse
Mode of Transportation: Private shared Jeep
Day 2

Jagat to Bihi Phedi

From Jagat, the trail enters the Manaslu Conservation Area. You'll pass through the conservation area checkpoint and get your MCAP stamped. The route follows the Budhi Gandaki closely, crossing several suspension bridges, some wide, some narrow, and moving through terraced fields and small settlements including Salleri, Lokpa, and Tatopani.

The terrain is mostly flat to gradual for the first half of the day, then climbs more steadily toward Bihi Phedi. This is your warm-up day. The altitude gain is modest (around 650m), and the trail is well-maintained. Bihi Phedi is a small settlement with basic facilities. Don't expect a menu with many options beyond noodles, dal bhat, and eggs. Order dal bhat.

Mountain views: Shringi Himal (7,161m) visible from upper sections on a clear day.

Max Altitude: 1,990m (6,528ft)
Altitude Gain: 650m
Duration: 7-8 hours
Distance: Approx. 16km
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Teahouse
Day 3

Trek from Bihi Phedi to Lho

This is the day the upper Manaslu region comes into view. You gain over 1,190m from Bihi Phedi, climbing through Namrung (2,630m) and continuing north to Lho (3,180m). The vegetation shifts: subtropical forest gives way to pine and fir, and by the time you're above Namrung, the air is noticeably cooler and thinner.

Lho is one of the most visually striking villages on the circuit. Ribung Monastery sits above the village on a rocky outcrop, and on a clear morning, Manaslu fills the frame to the north. Stop at the monastery if time and energy allow. The courtyard view is better than any photo you've seen of it.

Mobile signal drops above Namrung. This is where most trekkers realise they should have downloaded their offline maps in Kathmandu. Madcap provides a free Nepal SIM on arrival. Set up your offline navigation before Day 3.

Above 3,000m, your body starts adjusting to lower oxygen. Drink at least 3 to 4 litres of water today. Slow your pace on the ascent to Lho. Headaches that respond to water and rest are normal. Headaches that don't are not.

Mountain views: Manaslu (8,163m), Manaslu North (7,157m), Ngadi Chuli (7,871m) from Lho and the approach above Namrung.

Max Altitude: 3,180m (10,433ft)
Altitude Gain: 1190m
Duration: 7-8 hours
Distance: Approx. 19km
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Teahouse
Day 4

Trek from Lho to Dharmasala via Sama Gaun

The altitude exposure becomes serious today. You pass through Sama Gaun (3,520m), the largest village on the upper circuit, then climb a further 940m to Dharmasala (4,460m), also called Larkya Phedi, meaning "base of Larkya." This is your highest camp.

Sama Gaun is worth a short break. The monastery on the north side of the village is one of the better-preserved on the route, and Manaslu is fully visible from the ridge above the village. In a longer itinerary, trekkers stay a night here to acclimatise. On the 7-day circuit, you eat lunch and move on.

Dharmasala has a handful of tea houses clustered below the glacier. There are no private bathrooms. It's shared facilities and cold nights. On a clear evening, you can see the pass from here: the saddle on the ridgeline to the northwest. That's tomorrow. Go to bed early, eat a full dinner regardless of appetite, and set your alarm for 4 am.

The altitude gain across Days 3 and 4 is steep relative to standard acclimatisation guidelines. This is the highest-risk section of the entire trek for acute mountain sickness. If anyone in your group is showing symptoms beyond a mild headache: nausea, vomiting, confusion, or loss of coordination, tell your guide immediately. Descending is the only reliable treatment.

Mountain views: Manaslu (8,163m), Manaslu North (7,157m), Pungyen Glacier from Sama Gaun. Larkya Glacier and surrounding ridgelines from Dharmasala.

Max Altitude: 4,460m (14,632ft)
Altitude Gain: 1280m
Duration: 7-8 hours
Distance: Approx. 18km
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Teahouse
Day 5

Trek from Dharmasala to Bhimthang via Larkya La Pass

Start before light. Most Madcap guides set a 4:00 to 4:30 am departure from Dharmasala, reaching the pass by mid-morning before wind and cloud build from the south. At 4 am, the temperature at Dharmasala is well below freezing, and the trail is dark and rocky. Your headlamp, warm layers, and trekking poles are not optional.

The climb to Larkya La Pass (5,106m) takes 4 to 5 hours from Dharmasala. The initial section is loose moraine and boulder field, then steeper switchbacks approaching the pass. The final push is exposed and often icy even in October; gaiters or microspikes may be needed.

The summit of Larkya La is a wide, flat saddle. On a clear day, you're looking directly at Manaslu's west face. Himalchuli, Ngadi Chuli, and Cheo Himal are to the north. The view is worth every hour of the climb. Do not stay long. Wind picks up fast, and the descent is long.

The way down to Bhimthang drops over 1,500m through glacial moraine, then a broad alpine meadow with glacier-fed streams. Bhimthang (3,590m) has better food options than Dharmasala and feels warmer by comparison. Your legs will be done by the time you arrive. Sleep comes easily.

Mountain views: Manaslu (8,163m) west face, Himalchuli (7,893m), Ngadi Chuli (7,871m), Cheo Himal (6,820m), Himlung Himal (7,126m), Kanguru (6,981m), Annapurna II (7,937m).

Max Altitude: 5,106m (16,751ft)
Altitude Gain: 650m
Altitude Loss: 3516m
Duration: 8-9 hours
Distance: Approx. 16km
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Teahouse
Day 6

Trek from Bhimthang to Dharapani

The hardest day for your knees. You descend more than 1,600m from Bhimthang to Dharapani, passing through Hompuk, Sangura Kharka, Karche, Gho, and Tilje. The forest on this descent- rhododendron, pine, then subtropical trees as you lose altitude- is some of the most varied on the route.

Trekking poles matter more on the way down than on any other day of this trek. The stone steps below Gho are long and steep. Take your time on the descent.

Dharapani (1,860m) sits at the junction of the Manaslu and Annapurna Circuit trails. There are more accommodation and food options here than at any point since Kathmandu. Your body will notice the return to lower altitude immediately.

Mountain views: Lamjung Himal visible from upper descent sections above Gho.

Max Altitude: 1,860m (6,102ft)
Altitude Loss: 1730m
Duration: 7-8 hours
Distance: Approx. 25km
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Teahouse
Day 7

Drive to Besisahar and Kathmandu

From Dharapani, a jeep follows the Marsyangdi valley south to Besisahar, then on to the Prithvi Highway and Kathmandu. The drive takes 9 to 10 hours depending on road conditions and stops. The road surface improves after Besisahar.

You'll arrive in Kathmandu in the evening. Madcap arranges a farewell dinner for your group before you check into your hotel.

Max Altitude: 1,400m (4,593ft)
Altitude Loss: 460m
Duration: 9-10 hours
Distance: Approx. 228km
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Hotel
Mode of Transportation: Private shared Jeep

Itinerary Flexibility
This itinerary can be adjusted before departure: switch to the 14-day Manaslu Circuit for built-in rest days, or add a porter. Tell Madcap Adventure your dates, fitness level, and preferences when you book.

Guide Decisions on Trail
Larkya La Pass (5,106m) can close with snow or ice, and this itinerary has no rest day before the crossing. Above 4,000m, altitude sickness is tracked daily with a pulse oximeter. In these situations, your licensed guide can adjust the pace or, in a serious case, arrange descent. This is standard trail judgment, not a formality.

When is the Best Time for the Manaslu Circuit Trek 7 Days?

October and November are the most reliable months for trekking in Manaslu Circuit. Post-monsoon skies stay clear, Larkya La Pass is fully open, and the trail is dry. October draws the most trekkers, though the route stays quiet by any normal standard. April and May work well as a second window: rhododendrons are in bloom below 3,000m, and the pass typically opens by mid-April, though weather above 4,500m is less settled than in autumn. December through February carries real risk at the pass, particularly in January and February when snow closures are possible. A 7-day itinerary with no buffer day is not advisable in this period. The monsoon season, June through September, brings landslides, trail washouts, leeches, and low visibility across the route.

How difficult is the 7-day Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal?

The 7-day Manaslu Circuit is one of the most physically demanding short treks in Nepal. You walk between 7 and 9 hours every day, including on Day 5 when you cross Larkya La Pass at 5,106m after sleeping at 4,460m with no rest day behind you. The terrain alternates between river gorge trails, stone-paved village paths, and steep mountain tracks with loose rock above 4,000m.

You need more than general fitness. You need trekking-specific fitness: the ability to sustain a full hiking day with a loaded pack, back-to-back, for five consecutive days. Cardiovascular training, weighted hikes, and stair training in the weeks before departure make a real difference.

If you haven't trekked above 3,500m before or haven't done a multi-day mountain route in the last 12 months, the 14-day Manaslu Circuit is a better fit.

Accommodation and Food

Tea houses on the upper Manaslu Circuit are basic and functional. Private rooms are standard below Namrung. Above Namrung, dormitory-style rooms become more common as the settlements get smaller. Beds have blankets, but a sleeping bag rated to -10°C is required; at Dharmasala you'll use it.

Bathrooms above Namrung are shared and often squat-style. Hot water for showers is available at most tea houses but charged separately; budget approximately NPR 300 to 500 per shower. Charging your devices is possible at most stops but is also charged per device; bring a power bank as backup.

Dal bhat is the most reliable option at every altitude: rice, lentil soup, vegetable curry, unlimited refills at most tea houses. The menu shrinks above Namrung. At Dharmasala, you'll have three or four choices. Eat what's hot and available.

Solo Trekking on the Manaslu Circuit

As of 2023, solo trekking is permitted on the Manaslu Circuit. The previous two-person minimum for the Restricted Area Permit has been removed. You can book this trek as a solo trekker with Madcap Adventure. A Nepal Government licensed guide is still legally required throughout the restricted area. You cannot complete this route without one, regardless of group size.

Safety and Altitude

The 7-day Manaslu Circuit has no acclimatisation rest day. The altitude gain between Day 3 and Day 4, from Bihi Phedi (1,990m) to Dharmasala (4,460m) over two days, is steeper than standard guidelines recommend. This is the window where most altitude-related problems occur on this itinerary.

Acute mountain sickness (AMS) begins with a persistent headache that doesn't resolve with water and rest. More serious symptoms, nausea, vomiting, loss of coordination, confusion, or difficulty breathing at rest, require immediate descent. No view, no deadline, and no permit refund is worth attempting the pass with these symptoms.

Your Madcap guide carries a pulse oximeter and first aid kit throughout the trek. Helicopter rescue is accessible from most points above Namrung. Your travel insurance must cover helicopter evacuation up to at least 6,000m; this is non-negotiable.

Why is Travel Insurance mandatory for 7 days Manaslu Circuit in Nepal?

The Manaslu Circuit crosses Larkya La Pass at 5,106m. If something goes wrong at that altitude, the only way out is on foot or by helicopter. A helicopter evacuation from the upper Budhi Gandaki valley costs USD 3,000 to USD 6,000. Without insurance that covers helicopter rescue up to at least 6,000 m, that cost is yours. Madcap Adventure requires proof of valid coverage before departure.

Your policy must cover three things: helicopter evacuation up to at least 6,000 m, medical treatment in Nepal, and trip cancellation. Standard travel insurance sold alongside flights often excludes high-altitude trekking entirely. Check the policy wording, not the summary page. If it does not name trekking above 4,000m or 5,000m as a covered activity, it will not pay out. Confirm your specific terms directly with your insurer before you book flights.

How to prepare for this 7-day Manaslu Circuit Trek?

Fitness Preparation: Start training at least three months out. The 7-day Manaslu Circuit has no rest day, so your body needs to handle seven to nine hours of walking daily for five consecutive days before you even think about the pass. Weighted hikes on back-to-back days, stair climbing with a loaded pack, and regular cardio are the most useful preparation. By the month before departure, you should be able to complete two long hiking days in a row without needing a recovery day.

Medical Checkups: See a doctor four to six weeks before departure. Tell them you are crossing a 5,106m pass with no acclimatisation day and sleeping above 4,000m from Day 3. Ask about acetazolamide if you have any altitude history, confirm your vaccinations are current, and carry all prescription medication plus a five-day buffer. Nothing is available above Arughat Bazar.

Cash: The last reliable ATM before the trail is in Arughat Bazar. There are no cash facilities beyond this point. Carry enough Nepali rupees to cover: hot showers, device charging, bottled drinks, personal snacks, and tips for your guide and porter across 6 trail days. A realistic estimate is NPR 8,000 to 15,000 in personal spending money.

Gear essentials:

  • Trekking boots: waterproof, broken in, ankle support
  • Sleeping bag: rated to -10°C minimum
  • Trekking poles: particularly important for the Day 6 descent
  • Headlamp with spare batteries: the 4 am departure on Day 5 requires it
  • Sun protection: sunscreen SPF 50+, UV-blocking sunglasses, lip balm. UV intensity above 4,000m is much higher than at sea level
  • Warm layers: down jacket, thermal base layers, gloves, and a hat rated for below-zero temperatures at Dharmasala
  • Water treatment: purification tablets or a filter reduce plastic waste and cost on the trail

Connectivity: Mobile signal is available in lower villages and through most of the trail to Namrung. Above Namrung, the signal becomes unreliable. Madcap provides a free Nepal SIM card on arrival; download your offline maps in Kathmandu before Day 1. Maps.me and Gaia GPS both cover the Manaslu Circuit.
